FAKE NEWS

Fake news is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of deliberate disinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media or online social media. The false information is then often reverberated as misinformation in social media, but occasionally finds its way to the mainstream media as well.

MASS MEDIA

The mass media is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass communication. The technologies through which this communication takes place include a variety of outlets. Broadcast media transmit information electronically, via such media as filmradio, recorded music, or television. Outdoor media transmit information via such media as AR advertising. Print media transmit information via physical objects.

Tv: at home we usually see ETB2 which is the Basque Autonomous Community's public broadcast service. On 20 May 1982 the Basque Parliament unanimously approved the law that set up Euskal Irrati Telebista. There we see the news but also there are a lot of more progammes like atrapame si puedes, el conquistador del caribe... here are all the progammes https://www.eitb.eus/es/television/programas/

Radio: I don't usually listen to the radio but my parents do. They listen to the news every morning. When I am in the car I sometimes listen to the cope, because atope con la cope! It's a Spanish sport channel.

Newspaper: my parents don not usually buy the newspaper but when they buy it they buy el diario vasco which is the local( from Donosti)newspaper. It was founded in  1934 by the Sociedad Vascongada de Publicaciones, led by conservative writers such as Juan Ignacio Luca de Tena or Ramiro de Maeztu. The paper has its headquarters in San Sebastián.It has different sections like culture, football, society, poltics... here is the newspaper webpage →diariovasco

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

The European Day of Languages is organised by the Council of Europe and the European Union. Its activities celebrate linguistic diversity in Europe and promote language learning with success. It is celebrated on 26th of September each year. Its general objectives are: alert the importance of language learning, promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity and encourage lifelong language learning.

In my opinion this day is very important because languages are an essential part of communication and culture. I am studying English because it will help me to speak with a lot of people form different countries and to find a good job. I would like to study Italian and Arabic because I like how they sound.🙌🙌

To celebrate this day I have done a football quiz with Manex and Joseba. It has got several questions which involve football and languages like " What language is spoken in international football matches?" and the idea is going to another class to do the quiz.

Also, we have done a video in class where we appear with a word written in a paper in different languages and we say our word.💥💥
